First, determine the current zoning of your property by contacting the City Clerk's office. Next, look up the permitted uses of your zoning district (visit the city code page for this information). If your use is not listed in the permitted use section, check the conditional use section to determine if a Conditional Use permit will be necessary. Your property or potential business may also qualify as a home occupation. Please contact the City Inspector at 785-472-5566.
Owners are responsible for keeping their pets secured and could be subject to fines and penalties. If your pet gets loose, please contact the Ellsworth Police Department at 785-472-4416 as soon as possible to report the missing pet.
